The photoluminescent visual escape route guidance system

Permalux® is our photoluminescent low-location guidance system.

The system comprises profiles, exchangeable Permalux® inlays and end caps. The photoluminescent inserts are manufactured with pigments that absorb ambient light and then release it slowly after dark. Low-location guidance systems are either installed in the floor or on the wall at a maximum height of 40 cm above the floor. The profiles have been designed for seamless installation in tiled or carpeted areas. We can supply you with various widths, colours and, if desired, inserts incorporating individual logos or icons.

The flat profile is ideal for an unobtrusive wall-mounted guidance system. Colour inserts are available upon request.

Angled profiles for wall mounting

The angled profile can be installed on the wall or skirting board. The inclined incidence angle optimises absorption of ambient light and increases the luminance.

Flat profiles for floor mounting

The covered flat profile is intended to provide a way marking in a carpeted floor. The cover protects the photoluminescent insert, while the two wings on the side hold down the carpet to prevent the risk of tripping.

Flat Profile for door frames or the lower edge of steps

The 30 mm flat profile can be used to mark escape doors along escape routes and emergency exits or as stair markings.

U-profiles for floor and wall mounting

The aluminium U-profile can be used in a variety of ways. It is suitable for use as way marking for uncarpeted floors or other surfaces as well as for marking door frames (escape doors or emergency exits).

Edge profile for stair edgings

Stair edgings are mark the first and last steps in a stairwell in order to prevent accidents and provide better orientation in the dark.

Permalux® coatings can be used in production areas, warehouses, underground car parks and multi-storey car parks with low-location safety way guidance systems.

Permalux® is versatile.
The system can be incorporated completely into the surrounding design.
The profiles of the low-location guidance system can be retrofitted with the electrical system from P.E.R. without difficulty.
For dark tunnels, P.E.R. manufactures special photoluminescent guide markings with very high luminance.
